Biography
Craig Uffman became the tenth rector of St Thomas' Episcopal Church of Rochester, NY in September of 2010. He is a second year PhD student at Durham University (UK).  His primary concentration is theology and ethics. His dissertation is on the virtue ethics of Richard Hooker, in conversation with the liturgical ethics of Stanley Hauerwas and Sam Wells.  Craig writes at A Pilgrim's Journal (www.craiguffman.com) and blogs more briefly on Twitter.

Craig is a graduate of the Duke Divinity School, Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He served in the US Navy as a nuclear submarine officer before beginning a business career. Craig served as president of a high technology company in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for several years, and is the author of a book on small business lending in the credit union industry. He served in a variety of lay leadership positions and taught adult Sunday School for over twenty years, while discerning his call to full-time ministry.

Craig and Claudia are the parents of three children. Craig is an avid fan of Navy, LSU, North Carolina, and Duke sports, and enjoys running, cycling, backpacking, and kayaking.
