Looking Back at Jesus' Future

I am eagerly anticipating the last gathering of our Disciple Bible Study group, who completes tonight the final unit in our "Jesus in the Gospels" study. The Lord has blessed us richly in our thirty meetings and we have learned a lot about who Jesus is and what it means to follow him.  Tonight we will celebrate with a lakeside meal of fish and bread, recalling the Lord's Breakfast (John 21) in our agape feast and Holy Eucharist as we survey the wondrous cross and respond. I praise God for these wonderful friends with whom I share the gospel feast.
